Job Description
The Chef de Cuisine is accountable for the quality, consistency and production of the JW Steakhouse kitchen. Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions. Coordinates menus, purchasing, staffing and food preparation for the restaurant. Works with team to improve guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved. Develops and trains team to improve results.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 7 years experience in the kitchen, both in hot and cold areas;
- Previous steakhouse experience represents an advantage;
- Strong leadership abilities, creativity, vision for quality in food & beverage operations;
- Prior supervisory experience required;
- Communication skills;
- Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help individuals develop and strengthen skills needed to accomplish work objectives;
- Ability to adjust to major changes in work task and environment;
- Ability to work with budgets;
- English proficiency.
